Broken Doll Merchandise?

Broken Doll Productions has been given a table at the Williamsburg Artists and Fleas Market, and we've been crafting our tails off making really sweet (handmade and recycled) totes and notebooks, wallets, and buttons. Come out and visit us Saturday June 2nd, and Sunday June 3rd at the Williamsburg Artist and Fleas on N7th st and Wythe ave.

Benefit Concert is a Smash Hit!

Earlier tonight at Spike Hill in Williamsburg, three amazing bands took the stage at a benefit concert to support Broken Doll Productions: Wooly & the Mammoth, The HATE my Day Jobs, and The Constant. Each of the bands put on a stellar performance. We wish words were adequate to express our gratitude to the amazing musicians who played at the show and to everyone who came out to see the show. We would also like to thank the staff at Spike Hill, particularly Mads Black Just-Olesen, for helping us put together this fantastic event.

Benefit Concert at Spike Hill!

Feed your ears at a benefit concert featuring The HATE MY DAY JOBS ("Garage-y swagger rock, male vocals ring of Television on meth, good ballsy rock and f***ing roll." KZSU Stanford) and The Constant ("independent bands come out with great music, but this is GREAT music." Alternativeaddiction.com). Come on down and rock out for a good cause (Broken Doll Productions is a free non-profit youth-run theater education program serving Brooklyn youth). BDP Arts and Crafts

This Monday, BDP staff, members, and supporters will be getting together to begin creating a line of artisan merchandise to raise money for the BDP summer program. Some of the amazing arts and crafts we will undertake are handmade tote bags, recycled notebooks, and buttons. Look for our next announcement when our line of artisan merchandise goes retail!

Donation Season

Today, seven of BDPs youth facilitators pounded the nearly 80-degree Brooklyn pavement hunting for donations for our upcoming silent auction on June 16, 2012. We received many awesome donations from the various local craftsmen (and women) at the Williamsburg Artists & Fleas. Special shout-outs to everyone who donated, and to everyone who took the time out of their day to listen to us!

PS: Meet the BDP youth facilitator crew on the new page. Oscar Rivera, senior youth facilitator and BDP secretary, took some great portrait photos today before they headed out to hunt.
